Lubera stops plant deliveries to the UK
Due to Brexit, we are not able to deliver to the UK. We are working on a solution on how we can continue to bring a wide range of Lubera plants to the UK and directly to our customers' homes in the future. However, such a solution will not be available before 2022 or 2023.

Three Lemons For the Sick Person

Today I feel ill: I have a sore throat, headache, a slight fever, I am tired from the ibuprofen and exhausted from the antibiotics. I have zero concentration and inspiration…The Lubera garden newsletter, however, must get out punctually. What should I do? I’ll go to the supermarket to buy lemons...

Now I'm back, with three lemons in a net. I am sitting at my computer in a room full of lemon aroma. Do you know that many Japanese companies add lemon essences to the air-conditioning systems in order to increase the concentration capabilities of their employees? I simply squeeze one of the lemons onto a plate. Here’s a trick: lemons release more juice when they are rolled back and forth on a table before pressing.

From the second lemon I squeeze two teaspoons of juice and pour it into a cup of hot water (not boiling!). Lemons are said to have fever-reducing effects – let's see if this is true. In a second glass I mix one tablespoon on lemon juice with lukewarm water. I gargle this mixture, as it is supposed to help my sore throat. Afterwards, my breath feels so fresh and fragrant that I actually slowly really do want to write about our new Lubera fruitful soil...

Ten minutes later… however my headache is getting stronger. The second lemon I had previously cut is still "half full". I press the rest of the juice into some black coffee, which actually tastes good, and I put the lemon peel on my forehead and temples and close my eyes for about 20-30 minutes...

A half an hour – or maybe an hour later…

I slept a bit and I dreamed of the endless, successfully renaturalised bogs of Lower Saxony; I feel much better and I continue to work...

So, now I’m done! It’s the end of the working day! I look forward to my last lemon and treat myself to something special. I cut the third lemon: half for the right rough elbow and the half for the left rough elbow. I am trying to make my skin soft and smooth again.

WOW! It is not for nothing that the Jewish communities have used citrus fruits for centuries as a symbol of perfection at their festivals.

The citrus plants are great and healthy as well as beautiful and fragrant, and I advocate for the introduction of something similar to the Vietnamese New Year festival "Tet" in Europe! For this festival, which is considered to be the most important event of the year in Vietnam, a fruiting kumquat tree is placed in the house or presented as a gift. Days before you can see hundreds of people on bicycles with one of these citrus trees attached to the luggage rack. Like a fairy tale! And if it does not work to introduce this festival, a citrus tree is always a great gift idea.
