Product information "Garden Deal: Blueberry diversity"

As a seller, can you be enthusiastic about your own offer? One must be! But this time I'm more than thrilled: this week's deal is a ride through history regarding blueberry varieties and species. Those who plant these blueberries enjoy decorative features and usefulness; they harvest fruits early and late and they literally eat their way through the history of the cultivated blueberry:
  • Rubel: one of the first blueberry varieties selected at the beginning of the 20th century, not by breeders, but by forest pickers in New Jersey. Rubel is the only original blueberry that is still grown today because of its excellent taste and because it has a much higher anthocyanin content than other cultivated blueberries.
  • Sunshine Blue: is half-evergreen, but hardy down to -16°C. Sunshine Blue has southern blueberry species such as Rabbiteye and others as ancestors and the plant not only convinces with its beautiful pink flowers and semi-compact habit, but also with its excellent fruits.
  • Blue Dessert®: this is our selection of various clones of the variety Elisabeth. And Elisabeth White was the first blueberry breeder. Not the brilliant scientist and strategist Frederick Coville, who selected the first blueberry varieties in the 10s and 20s; it was the clever farmer Elisabeth White from New Jersey who cultivated and selected the seedlings for him. The variety dedicated to her is the best tasting medium late variety. Period.
  • And finally, the outsider: Blautropf®: an ornamental blueberry with red flowers in May, beautiful foliage in the spring and summer; it leaves every Pieris green with envy. Blue Drop! Where does this unusual blueberry come from? It is a selection of the wild species Vaccinium Cylindraceum, and that in turn is only available in the Azores.
More blueberry diversity is hardly possible! And diversity is a gift of nature to us humans. And this Deal with a 50% discount is a gift...from Lubera®!
