Hello
I purchased and planted Sanibelle last year in Scotland. The soil is clay, cold and wet but I put plenty of planting matter in with them to break up the soil a little and help them establish. They are currently small canes as they were planted. Could you please let me know what time of year I should prune? I assume this would be before they start into growth, around January/February?
Thank you

Please cut them back end of february. They should make this year decent canes

My Sanibelle raspberries are growing well and are around 30cm tall and getting bushy. I have 12 altogether. I find that I will need to move 6 of them. They are in their first year and have small fruit on them Should I remove this fruit? Also do I have to wait until they are dormant to move them or can I do it taking along a large root ball with them? I am not sure how big they should be in the first year but it has been a difficult season here in Scotland generally so far this year.
