Ah, a man after my heart. He has an utter obsession with breeding weird and wonderful fruit. Fantastic! I love growing different things and he's absolutely right; home gardeners don't need uniformly ripening hard fruit of a standard size. We want interesting fruit that doesn't need to be doused in a chemical factory to produce a crop. I never buy from Suttons, but now I know that they're the exclusive stockists of Lubera, I'm going to be chucking my Thompson & Morgan catalogue in favour of them. Can't wait for an orange cherry!
