Increased Resistance

Pests and diseases are your enemies in the garden ever since. Perhaps we cannot totally change that (Paradise lost....). But we and our breeding friends all over the world are more and more introducing new resistance into garden varieties.

For example all of our apple varieties are at least scab resistant, we are working on raspberry varieties which are tolerant to root rot, we are introducing mildew tolerant g ooseberries and blackcurrants .... And since 3 years partially funded by the Swiss government together with Universities and Research facilities we are working on an apple breeding program towards fireblight resistant apples.

Like every progress in nature and in gardening, this is also a neverending story but it brings you step by step more easyness, and in the end more pleasure into your garden work.
