Better Taste

There is one good thing about breeding: You will never achieve THE perfect variety. So breeders will never run out of work ;-) While breeding and selecting real varieties in a real world you will always have to set priorities.

So almost every breeding programme for small fruits and apples is oriented towards the professional fruit industry. And their criteria like firmness, picking ability (for examble in raspberries), picking costs, shelf life and harvest (kg/ha) are the most important ones. Of course these priorities make also sense, because a fruit which will be rotten when arriving in the stores 5 days after picking, has no worth (even if it was the best one at picking time).

And exactly this is our advantage at Lubera: We are 100% focused on the home garden market and therefore we can set another priority list. And more than anything we are primarily working on a better taste. And for different tastes: In apples for example there are much more possiblities, much more taste variants than the ones you know from the supermarket shelves.

So planting the Lubera® fruit range (self breedings and others) in your garden, you will for sure enjoy a new eating experience, the joy of gardening, the joy of eating the fruits of your own gardenwork.
