Product information "Apple Paradis® Julka®"

Form: Small to medium, round-shaped, first finely pink, dark red colour at later harvest
Texture: Fine-celled, firm and juicy; keeps its firmness on the tree and in storage about 3 weeks
Flavour/aroma: Sweet to very sweet, Gala sweetness already 7 weeks before Gala; contradicts the notion that early varieties are 100% acidic!
Growth/health: Rather weak growth, good branching, forms a compact, small tree on rootstock M9; 1 m², about 2 m high, scab resistant, tolerant to powdery mildew, one of the first varieties tolerant to fire blight
Harvest/maturity/storage:  From 20th/25th July as needed. Apples remain crisp and firm on the tree about 3 weeks. Paradis Julka® therefore reliably supplies your family during the midsummer weeks  with fresh, aromatic apples.

Final size of espalier: Height: 2-3 m, length: 3 m

What are Lubera® Paradis® apples?
For nearly 20 years, Lubera has been the only nursery in the German speaking countries that actively breeds apples. It was our goal from the start to breed new varieties of apples that can be easily cultivated in the home garden, and offer more success and enjoyment. With the Lubera Paradis® apples we have achieved this goal.

Lubera® Paradis® apple varieties include the following:
- Better taste; we're not looking for standard flavours, but rather something unique, something special
- Very productive, they bear fruit immediately in the second year after planting
- Resistant to scab, which means they are easier to cultivate and they can do without fungal sprays

With this designation, we emphasise only those plants that according to our experience work (almost) everywhere; they are easy to grow and bear fruits or produce flowers quickly and without problems. These are plants that can be enjoyed immediately and without effort once planted.
  • Lubera Breeding This plant was bred by Lubera in Switzerland and placed on the market after extensive testing at our facilities in Buchs (CH) and Bad Zwischenahn (D). In 20 years of work, Lubera's founder and breeder Markus Kobelt has bred more than 80 of his own new varieties for the home garden; they all have the goal of providing you, our customers, with more experience and flavour, easier growing and more resistant, more robust varieties.
