Product information "Bush Cherry Juliet"
The bush cherry Juliet, like Crimson Passion and Valentine, has an average ripening time, at the beginning of July and later. This variety is characterised by the pronounced double suitability: it has enough large and sweet fruits to delight fruit lovers, and on the other hand, the dark red fruits, despite their high sugar level and sourness-accentuated nature, are also good for processing, for juice, compote, jam and canning. Juliet is darker and sweeter than Valentine, but has more sourness than Crimson Passion.Short description:
Maturity:
From the beginning of July
Fruits:
Large fruits, up to 5 g, sweet, 18-24° Brix, the sweetest variety after Crimson Passion, similar to sour cherries in texture and regarding the finish.
Yield:
A very fertile tree, usually bears fruit starting in the 2nd, 3rd year.
Growth:
Compact habit, grows up to 150-200 cm.
Use:
Above all, fresh enjoyment, but in addition to the sweetness, it also has enough sourness, very sweet AND sour at the same time when eating, making it also suitable for enjoying fresh and for cakes.
Pollination:
Self-fertile, can easily be pollinated by its own pollen; this bush cherry can be planted alone.
Speciality:
Blooms a little earlier than other bush cherries, yet it almost never has frost damage.

Can these trees be espalied?
Juliet cherry/romeo (Lubera)
Hi Sara, they grow bushy and more compact, so for espalier the growth is not strong enough. Kind regards from Switzerland
