Varieties from the Lubera® Garden Shop
In our assortment, you can choose between the varieties Fruttini ‘Jachim’ and Fruttini ‘Garden Bing’. Fruttini ‘Jachim’ is the best of the columnar cherries suitable for fresh consumption, as the ratio of sugar and acidity is particularly well-balanced. Fruttini ‘Garden Bing’ is the perfect type for the smallest gardens, because it does not grow taller than 1.5 to 2 metres. The heart-shaped fruits can be harvested in mid-June.
The advantages of Lubera columnar cherry trees
The cherries from these trees are large and detach well from the stone, which is a clear advantage when eating them. Particularly noteworthy is the dark red colour of the fruit and flesh. Fruttini ‘Jachim’ is the most colourful variety of all sour cherries. It is also robust and resistant to disease, which is also a clear advantage. The plant also withstands frost comparatively well, as the flowers are particularly large. There is also no need to worry about bareness, which is a problem with some cherry varieties. Finally, Fruttini ‘Jachim’ has good tolerance against flower monilia.
