Product information "Columnar Apple Malini® Pronto®"

Shape/appearance: Round, conical, with distinct lenticels, beautifully striped
Texture/firmness: Very firm, fine-celled, top texture
Flavour/aroma: Very sweet, aromatic, the sweetest earliest Malini
Growth/health: Resistant to scab, little susceptibility to mildew, the first columnar apple tree that is highly tolerant to fire blight
Harvest/maturity/storage: Sweet, early variety, matures at the end of August, can be stored until the end of September

What are Lubera Malini?
Lubera has bred the first columnar apple trees that are resistant to scab and are therefore easier to cultivate in the home garden, on terraces and balconies.

Hello Please tell me 1.when do I have to prune the tree for the first time if planted in November, just after planting or wait till spring 2.Do I prune the top -by 1/3 or only lateral growth longer than 10 cm 3.what would be best for staking -a proper tree stake or a bamboo cane how close the stake should be to the tree Thank you Barbara

Hi Barbara Eddies, thank you for your questions, here are our answers:
1. Only start to pune, when the plant makes the first side shouts
2. Never prune the top. Only when you have the full size you want
3. Use a tree stake, this should be around 10-15cm away from the tree
