Product information "Fruttini® Jachim"

Harvest: Late, very large flowers, therefore not very threatened by frost
Fruits: Medium to large, flat-bottomed, freestone, the fruits and flesh are dark red; is the most strongly coloured of all the sour cherries
Flavour: Thanks to the ideal ratio of a lot of sugar (up to 15 Brix) and acidity, this is one of the best sour cherries for eating fresh
Growth/health: Naturally narrow and compact growth habit, characterised by short internodes, steep branch angles and fruit growth on the short shoots. The long shoots, which are formed more frequently than  on columnar apple trees, must either be continuously pinched (then a true columnar growth takes place), or they are left to grow (then an upright, pillar or poplar-like growth occurs); there are no bare spots, thanks to the fertility of the old wood. Jachim has good tolerance against blossom blight
Pollinator: Jachim is self-fertile and therefore does not need a pollinator
Breeder: Mirko Schuster, JKI
What are Fruttini?
Fruttini are columnar growing fruit trees which also remain relatively compact. Unfortunately, there is a lot of mischief being done with columnar fruit trees and in many cases normal varieties are sold as columnar forms. This is why we have stayed away from this for a long time, until we have now been able to find varieties that are suitable for gardens and can easily be grown in the columnar shape.

These are plants that can be enjoyed immediately and without effort once planted.
