Product information "Gustissimo® Perretta"

This variety is the number 1 in our Gustissimo® assortment and also our bestseller!
Perretta has many, large fruits, a regular yield (even if it is actually a bad fig year) and it quickly establishes itself in your garden.

Maturity: Early maturing with a strong, late harvest on fresh wood in good years
Fruits: The largest of all the Gustissimo figs, very good flavour, relatively long shelf life on the tree, green to reddish brown, pear-shaped fruits, loose, light red flesh
Growth: Bushy, strong to very strong habit, therefore it establishes itself faster than most other varieties, it can withstand winter frost very well

Gustissimo® Figs: Growing outdoors
• Mild location, sheltered from winter breezes
• Full sun if possible
• Humus soil, otherwise improve soil
• Can be planted throughout the entire year; when planting in autumn, attach double winter protection during the first winter

Gustissimo® Figs: Growing in containers
• Grow in a 12-15 litre container for 1-2 years
• After 1-2 years, replant it in a container with a volume of 50 L or more
• Repot the plant every 3 years in a container with 20-30% more volume or reduce the crown and root system by 30% and fill the pot again with fresh substrate
• In the summer, figs are relatively thirsty; the large leaves evaporate a lot of water

With this designation, we emphasise only those plants that according to our experience work (almost) everywhere; they are easy to grow and bear fruits or produce flowers quickly and without problems. These are plants that can be enjoyed immediately and without effort once planted.
  • Lubera Selection This plant is an exclusive launch from Lubera. Lubera searches worldwide for new varieties and species that will make gardening more exciting and easier! We encounter new products again and again that we can exclusively bring to the market after intensive testing.
