Product information "Kaki Aroma"

Kaki 'Aroma'
Maturity: October-November, first harvest when the fruits are completely ripe; the fruits usually ripen well on leafless trees
Fruits: Large and yellow, a sweet, juicy enjoyment
Growth/space requirement: 1.5 - 3 m high, 1 - 2 m wide
Pollination: Does not need a pollinator
Cultivation tip: Plant in a protected location in the sun; shelter the plant in the first two years against frost

The miracle of pollination
Kaki Aroma does not form male flowers – and it develops fruit even without pollination. The fruits of this variety are bitter, as long as they are still firm. With progressive maturity, the bitterness breaks down. Consequently, Aroma is ripe enough to eat only when it becomes soft.
Cioccolatino on other hand forms seeds and can also be eaten crisp (with great pleasure and it is not bitter). If Cioccolatino is planted as a pollinator next to Aroma, normal pollination takes place on most of the flowers and seeds are formed – and as a result, the fruits from the Aroma variety can also be eaten crisp.
