No fruit (Mike)

I bought a spoon-pear tree from you about 4 years ago and still no fruit. It's espalier and growing well but does it need a cross pollinator, or do I need to rip it out? Same with goji, still no fruit.

No fruit (Sonja Dreher)

the spoon pear needs another pear for pollination, Williams Christ for example, or the Nashi-Tree varieties are also very good donators for pollen.
Kind regards
your lubera team

Spoon pear no fruit (Mike)

Forgive my ignorance but the spoon pear doesn't flower. Doesn't it need to flower, before pollination can occur?

loffelbirne pear tree (karl simmons)

another question is can I use ericaceous compost round my loffelbirne pear tree as it says it is for acid loving pear trees I wd like to know as it says this variety like partly acidic soil

löffelbirne-Pear (Your Lubera Team - Sonja Hendrischke)

yes, you can do that, but make sure, that the compost, is well rotten, so you do not carrie any funghus spores in the near surrounding of the tree.
Just make a thin layer of it.

Kind regards
Sonja Hendrischke
