Product information "Ornamental Sweet Potato Treasure Island 'Tatakoto'"

The beautiful sweet potato Treasure Island 'Tatakoto'Ⓢ inspires with its lush foliage of a rich bronze-green colour. The leaves are finger-shaped with green leaf blades and very decorative with red leaf veins, which give the overall bronze-green impression. The leaves are edible and can be used like spinach for smoothies, salads or as a healthy, vitamin-rich vegetable. The flesh of the ornamental sweet potato variety 'Tatakoto' is bright orange in colour and contains a lot of beta-Carotene. The purple skin contains additional anthocyanin and should therefore not be peeled but eaten with the potatoes. Thus the sweet potato Treasure Island 'Tatakoto'Ⓢ is extremely healthy. It belongs to the new generation of superfood, which not only tastes good, but also strengthens our immune system and generally promotes health and well-being.

Advantages of the ornamental sweet potato 'Tatakoto':

  •     Sweet tubers with purple skin and orange flesh
  •     Combination of the two important constituent groups: beta-Carotenes and anthocyanins
  •     Beautiful, slit, finger-shaped, green leaves with dark red leaf veins, can also be used as spinach

Tips

Growing in a pot Pot cultivation is useful in a container with a volume of at least 7-10 L. Remember that it needs enough volume to allow the tubers to develop freely. In addition, when planting the young plants you should also take care to spread the roots well; otherwise the potted ring growth can lead to shapeless tubers.
