Product information "Peanut plant (Not) Just Peanuts® Justblack®"

The peanut variety Justblack® adds another colour variation to our range of peanuts: dark red to almost black. Otherwise, this variety is found everywhere in the upper-middle range; medium to large pods, almost mathematically exactly occupied by two nuts each. The nuts are also medium in size; the yield is very reliable and high: on average, 70-90 pods are harvested per plant, resulting in about 150 peanuts per plant. The special characteristic and advantage of this variety are, however, also due to another point: besides Justmore®, Justblack® is also a peanut variety that can obviously tolerate damp weather and also damp soil better. In our tests, Justblack® keeps its green foliage for 3-4 weeks longer than other varieties (except Justmore®) after a summer in which it rained two days a week. This also means that with an early planting in May and a late harvest at the end of September or even in October, the yield of this peanut variety can be significantly improved. And above all and perhaps even more importantly in the spring, when the gardener should do everything at once, is this feature: Justblack® can also be planted a little later, at the beginning of June, and it will still be able to produce a good yield even then, as it is possible to wait a little longer before harvesting.

Advantages of the peanut variety Justblack®

  • Dark red to black nuts
  • Large and reliable yields of beautiful, medium-sized nuts
  • Good resistance to long cultivation periods, moisture and cold

Short description of the peanut plant Justblack®

Pods and nuts: Medium-sized pods, usually with two nuts, dark red to black seed coats
Yield: Medium to high, approx. 150 nuts per plant.
Planting: Possible from the beginning of May to the beginning of June.
Harvest: Early September to mid-October, made possible by the exceptional resistance of the plant.
Special features: The foliage of Justblack® is the most resistant and toughest next to Justmore®. The leaves stay healthy much longer than those of other varieties, even in wet autumn weather. This means that this variety can be planted a little later – and there is still enough time for fruit development and ripening, as it is also possible to harvest later in October, provided the autumn weather is good.

  • Flowering Period September, October
  • Available May, June
  • Leaf Colour green

Just black peanut plant (Barbara Mole)

Hi, I’m wondering how much space is required for each bush, and where can I find more information about ideal soil conditions and care? Thankyou
