Product information "Clematis 'Blue Belle'"
This beautiful, blue-violet variety was already bred by Ernest Markham in England in the 1920s. It flowers consist of 6 petals and reach a diameter of 6 to 9 cm. The stamens are long and cream white; they form a nice contrast to the intense blue violet of the flowers. The flowering period extends from early July to late September.Clematis viticella Blue Belle grows vigorously and vitally and reaches a growth height of 300 to 400 cm. It is reliably hardy and thrives in both sunny and semi-shady garden locations without problems. Here it transforms house walls, rock walls, pergolas and carports into a violet sea of flowers. Blue Belle also thrives in large planters.
In order to ensure rich flowering for many years, this clematis should be cut back regularly to a length of 20 to 50 cm in February.
