Product information "Clematis 'Jackmanii'"

The English breeder George Jackman has already brought these clematis clematis into the market already in the 1850er years. Clematis Jackmanii has been an integral part of the climbing range for more than 150 years. Its richness of blossoms and the strong blue-violet flower color has rightly made it one of the most popular varieties.
The blue-violet flowers consist of 4 to 6 petals and measure 10 to 14 cm in diameter. The bright yellow stamens form an effective contrast to the dark flower colour. Jackmanii blooms from mid-June to September. With it long shoots it climbs up pergolas, carports and rose arches and it grows easily into trees. Due to its vigorous habit and height of up to 350 cm, it is not suitable for containers and should be planted in the garden.
The reliably frost hardy Clematis Jackmanii grows in sunny to partially shady locations and it can be combined well with bright flower colours like white, pastel pink and delicate blue. Strong, bright color contrasts are created with yellow and orange flowers.
In order to maintain the flowering abundance for many years, you should cut this clematis every year in the spring, preferably between 20 and 50 cm above the ground in February.
