Product information "Clematis 'Betty Corning'"

This magical clematis is characterised by two special features. On the one hand, its flowers are bell-shaped and grow gracefully overhanging. On the other hand, they exude a fine, sweet scent. The colour of the flowers is quite delicate and is between light pink and lavender blue. The small, nodding bell-like flowers are composed of 4 petals and reach a diameter of 4 to 5 cm.
Betty Corning is already blooms in June and continues to grow tirelessly until October. It originates in the United States, where it was launched in 1932. With a height of 180 to 250 cm, it remains compact and is therefore also best suited for planting in containers for beautifying balconies and terraces. With its delicate colour and graceful flower shape, it is the ideal setting for romantic designs. Together with white and pink climbing roses, baby’s breath and bellflowers, this clematis creates magical garden pictures.
Despite its delicate appearance, Clematis viticella Betty Corning is very robust and very hardy. It thrives reliably in all sunny and partially shady locations. Since the flowers are formed on new shoots, it is highly recommended to annually cut back the plant to 20 to 50 cm above the ground in February.
