Product information "Clematis 'Kiri Te Kanawa'"

This clematis was bred in England and is a speciality. Its deep blue flowers are densely filled. The regularly arranged petals, together with the pale yellow stamens, form small works of art, which are best viewed close up.
With a height of 200 to 250 cm, 'Kiri Te Kanawa' remains beautifully compact. Its bushy growth and the good hardness during the winter make it ideal for planting in containers on terraces and balconies. This variety is particularly elegant in glazed white, gray or black stoneware.
Clematis 'Kiri Te Kanawa' can also be planted in the garden. It is recommended for a location close to the bench or directly on a path, so that its beauty is duly appreciated. It grows easily in sunny to partially shaded garden areas.
'Kiri Te Kanawa' flowers twice a year. In May/June the buds open on the previous year's wood. The fresh shoots, which then develop, form more buds that provide a second flowering in August and September. Regular pruning is recommended. It is best to reduce the shoots by 30 to 50% in February.
