Product information "Hedera helix 'Green Ripple' - Ivy"

Plants per square meter: 5 pieces

The medium strong growing Hedera helix 'Green Ripple' forms tendrils that have numerous leaves; the plant branches well and the internodes are about 2 to 3 cm apart.

The speciality of this ivy variety are its showy, lobed leaves. They are dark green, but do not turn red in the winter when it is planted outdoors. Their size varies between 5 and 10 cm in length and 5 to 7 cm in width. The plant provides an attractive effect especially due to the fresh, green leaf colour of the new growth and the unusual shape of the leaves.

Hedera helix 'Green Ripple' is a robust plant for pots and it can be used as an indoor hanging plant. Similarly, it is well suited for many purposes outdoors. For example, when designing graves, small areas can be closed with 'Green Ripple', or also planters and containers can be decoratively designed.

Although the plants are absolutely sufficient and easy to care for, planting outdoors is advisable only in areas with mild winters. Like all varieties of ivy, 'Green Ripple' prefers fresh, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny or shady site.
