Product information "Clematis 'Madame le Coultre'"

The flowers of 'Madame le Coultre' are pure white. With a diameter of 18 to 20 cm, they are one of the largest flowered clematises. The stamens are pale yellow. Overall, the flowers have a noble and elegant charisma.
This clematis classic was launched already in 1885 and has not lost its fascination in its over 130 years of existence. Perhaps this also depends on another plus point of Madame: it has a very pleasant fragrance.
'Madame le Coultre' is a clematis that flowers twice. The first flowers are produced on the previous year's wood and open in June. After a small flowering break, buds and flowers develop from August to October.
With a height between 250 and 350 cm this clematis grows relatively strongly. Its bright white flowers beautify pergolas, walls and carports. Against a dark background, the pure white has a particularly noble effect. 'Madame le Coultre' thrives in the sun and partial shade. It also has a wonderful effect when you let it climb into trees and shrubs with its long shoots.
Pruning is recommended once a year. Cut back all of the shoots by about half their size.
