Product information "Deodar Cedar 'Blue Globe'"

Cedrus deodara 'Blue Globe' is a breeding of deodar cedar. It grows broadly upright and just as wide as high. Its lateral shoots stick out horizontally – with slightly overhanging tips. After ten years this cedar species measures 100 to 150 cm. Old specimens can reach a size of 4 m after decades.
Attractive and evergreen

The steel blue, long needles are very attractive. Since it is an evergreen conifer, the deodar cedar 'Blue Globe' is very attractive in gardens and planters throughout the entire year.
It does not grow everywhere

In order for this attractive conifer to thrive well it needs a wind-protected, sunny to partially shaded garden site as well as acid to neutral garden soil. It is not suitable for rough areas and calcareous soils. In mild regions, Cedrus deodara 'Blue Globe' can also be used as a decorative, evergreen container plant.
