Product information "Weeping deodar"

Growth

Cedrus deodara 'Pendula' is a weeping, slow growing conifer with bizarre growth. It grows up to 5 m high. The branches hang down to the ground. This cedar is well suited for higher altitudes, but feels very comfortable in our latitudes. Its showy, blue-green needles are arranged in lively tufts. It has reddish brown cones that grow singly or in pairs.

Placement

Cedrus deodara 'Pendula' prefers light, acidic soils, which are moist and well-drained. Lime is not tolerated. Young plants do not tolerate extreme cold; however once fully grown it is very frost hardy. It is suitable as a specimen tree in small gardens and parks. This evergreen tree grows best in full fun.
