Pinus heldreichii var. leucodermis 'Compact Gem' is an evergreen shrub with a slender, conical habit. The long, elegant needles are dark green and the bark looks similar to snake skin. This very slow-growingspecies reaches a height of about 150cm. It forms attractive cones and is hardy. Commonly known as Bosnian pine, this tree grows best in full sun. It is a treasure for gardens, especially ones with limited space. 'Compact Gem' has outstanding health and very good resistance to diseases and pests, which assure its year-round beauty.
