Product information "Dwarf Noble Fir 'Blaue Hexe'"

The special feature of Abies procera 'Blaue Hexe' are its steel blue needles. Their bright colour makes the plant a real eye-catcher all year round.

A compact fir

The dwarf noble fir 'Blaue Hexe' grows slowly and remains very compact. In the first years it forms small balls and later grows wide and cushion-shaped. After ten years, it reaches a height of about 30 cm and a width of 50 to 60 cm. In old age it can grow up to 40 cm high and 80 to 100 cm wide.

Does not like lime

With the soil, 'Blaue Hexe' has clear ideas and prefers acidic to neutral pH values. Otherwise, it is not demanding: it thrives in the sun or partial shade, it is reliably frost hardy and does not require pruning.

A permanent garden decoration

This miniature tree is attractive both in planters and garden beds all year round. It gets denser and more beautiful over the years and is very durable. This dwarf fir tolerates the sun very well; it can also stand well on south-facing balconies or in rock gardens. Due to its dwarfism, 'Blaue Hexe' should definitely get a place in the foreground.
