Product information "Maidenhair Tree 'Mariken'"
If you do not have a spot in your garden for a giant maidenhair tree (ginkgo), then dwarf maidenhair tree 'Mariken' is a real alternative. This variety was discovered in the Netherlands in 1996. The beautiful, compact cultivar has been propagated and is found throughout Europe.A bush or a standard?
'Mariken' is offered either as a compact bush (such as here) or as a standard. The bush grows flatly and slowly (with an annual growth of 8 to 12 cm) and reaches a diameter of 100 to 150 cm after many years.
Perfect for small gardens
With its dwarfism, Ginkgo biloba 'Mariken' is ideal for small gardens. The fresh green, fan-shaped foliage is a real eye-catcher. In October/November the leaves turn a bright yellow colour.
An easy to maintain dwarf woody plant
The dwarf maidenhair tree does not place any special demands on its location: it thrives in every garden soil and in sunny or partially shaded areas. The frost hardy and long-living woody plant can also be grown in a container, adding accents to balconies, terraces, inner courtyards and entrance areas.
