Product information "Yellow/Green Dwarf Sawara Cypress"

The dwarf sawara cypress got its name for good reason: its needles are quite soft, curly and they look like dense moss. They have warm, yellowish green colour with lemon yellow dots on the needle tips.
Compact, spherical growth

Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Plumosa Compressa' grows uniformly and compactly and forms dense, flat balls. After ten years, the plant reaches a height of 40 to 50 cm and a diameter of 50 to 60 cm.
The best characteristics

The yellow/green dwarf sawara cypress is evergreen, very frost hardy and decorative all year round. Moreover, it tolerates both acidic and calcareous soils. It does not need much space and is therefore versatile in garden beds together with perennials and summer flowers. If you are looking for a permanent, frost hardy container plant to beautify your terrace or balcony, the yellow-green dwarf sawara cypress is a good choice. The site should be sunny to partially shaded.
