Product information "Hinoki Cypress - Dwarf Standard"
So that this cypress with its elegant branches is even more attractive, we have grafted it onto a small trunk. The trunk height is 40 cm and remains low, even if the dwarf tree is getting older. Only the crown of the tree grows larger, denser and more beautiful over the years, and the trunk becomes a little thicker.Ideal for elegant planters
With its extremely slow growth and striking tree shape, Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Nana Gracilis' stands out very well in pots. The dependable, frost-resistant and evergreen mini conifer adorns balconies, terraces, entrance areas and courtyards all year round. But even in the design of small gardens, you can use this dwarf standard in versatile ways. Due to the stem form, it can be planted well with flowering, flat summer flowers or cushion perennials.
It is not demanding
Hinoki cypress thrives in both sunny and partially shaded locations. It grows in every garden soil except for very alkaline (calcareous) soils. This small conifer with its dark green, scaly needles is completely hardy and evergreen.
