Product information "Creeping Juniper 'Blue Chip'"

Juniperus horizontalis 'Blue Chip' has very pretty, bluish green needles. With this robust creeping juniper you can set beautiful colour accents throughout the year in the garden and in planters.

More wide than high

This blue creeping juniper only reaches a height of 30 to 40 cm. It grows predominantly in width and old plants can reach a diameter of up to 2 m after decades. However its growth is slow: the annual growth is 2 to 3 cm in height and 5 to 8 cm in width.

A long-living ground cover

The creeping juniper 'Blue Chip' is a robust and durable ground cover for sunny locations. It thrives in both acidic and alkaline soils and it is extremely frost hardy. With its slow growth and the beautiful, bluish green needles, it is also an easy-care and decorative container plant. The slightly overhanging growth has a particularly good effect in high planters.
