Product information "Japanese larch"
Larix kaempferi 'Diana' is a small, slow-growing tree with slightly corkscrew-like branches. It can grow up to 10 m high. The twirling, blue-green needles are very soft; in autumn they turn golden yellow and drop from the tree. Also known as Japanese larch, this tree is very picturesque; it is a striking accent in the landscape and prefers an open, sunny location. It is best grown in rich, moist, acidic, well-drained soils in full sun. It is a very valuable specimen plant and with enough humidity and soil moisture, it is superior to all other larch species. 'Diana' is attractive when planted with dark green conifers and shrubs for colour contrast.
