Product information "Maidenhair Tree 'Menhir'®"

The standing stone among the Gingkos

Ginkgo biloba 'Menhir'® grows upright and forms a narrow column. As a result, it does not require much space and is a valuable structure plant due to its clear form. It grows relatively quickly and reaches a final height between 5 and 7 m depending on the soil quality.

Fantastic leaf decoration

The fan-shaped foliage of the columnar ginkgo is bright green and is deeply cut through the middle. In October/November, with its yellow autumn colouring, it becomes an unmistakable eye catcher once again.

Structure in garden beds

The distinct, columnar shape of Ginkgo biloba 'Menhir'® is versatile in the garden. Individual plants provide structure in garden beds. Grown in rows, this valuable variety can line paths and entrances. Ginkgo biloba 'Menhir'® provides seating areas with privacy protection in the summer. By the way, this columnar maidenhair tree can also be cultivated in planters for several years without any problem. If it then grows too big for its pot, it can still be planted out in the garden.

An uncomplicated tree

This columnar maidenhair tree thrives in sun or partial shade and can cope with every garden soil. It is vigorous, reliably frost hardy and very long lasting.
