Product information "Cherry Laurel 'Mount Vernon'"

The cherry laurel 'Mount Vernon' has an extremely broad and flat habit. Even in old age it only reaches a height of 30 cm and can therefore be used excellently as an evergreen ground cover. The slow growing shrub has a diameter between 60 to 100 cm.
Beautiful and durable ground cover

The foliage of Prunus laurocerasus 'Mount Vernon' is elongated and 7 to 10 cm long. It is very decorative due to its deep dark green and shiny surface. Since the shrub is densely branched and the leaves are close together, it covers the soil almost completely – all year round.
For shade or sun

This ground covering cherry laurel grows even in lots of shade, for example under trees or shrubs, where many other plants no longer thrive well. On the other hand, you can also plant 'Mount Vernon' in partial shade or even in sunny garden areas. In the winter, the evergreen foliage in the garden bed provides beautiful splashes of colour. And with its slow growth and manageable proportions, the cherry laurel 'Mount Vernon' finds its place even in tiny gardens.
An evergreen container plant

Its manageable growth and evergreen foliage also make Prunus laurocerasus 'Mount Vernon' a decorative and durable container plant. If it gets too wide for you after a few years, you can easily bring the growth to the desired level by pruning the plant. Whether on the balcony or terrace, in the entrance area or in the courtyard – this small laurel cherry thrives everywhere and is a pleasing sight all year round.
