The dwarf cherry laurel 'Piri' is a particularly winter hardy selection from Hungary, which easily survives even long-lasting cold periods. It grows very compact and is densely branched.
 
The foliage of Prunus laurocerasus 'Piri' is evergreen and very decorative. The plant has a rich, dark green colour with a regular, laurel-like leaf shape and silky shine. From May to June, white, sweet-scented flowers appear that make the shrub even more ornamental.
 
Ideal for pots and small gardens

Prunus laurocerasus 'Piri' grows slowly, densely and branched. This makes an ideal choice for growing in pots and planters. This evergreen dwarf cherry laurel decorates balconies and terraces, entrance areas and courtyards.
 
Location and use

In addition, since it copes with every soil and thrives equally in shade, partial shade and sun. There are hardly any limits to its use. In garden beds, the Hungarian 'Piri' – planted individually or in small groups – also provides green splashes of colour during the winter. This compact cherry laurel is very tolerant to pruning and can also be used as a small hedge or bed enclosure.
