Product information "Bee Bee Tree"

This tree is referred to as the bee bee tree because it produces a lot of nectar and attracts so many bees. It is native to China and Korea and is also popular among the beekeepers, as the white flowers appear at a time when few other plants bloom, namely in July and August. The purple fruits, which develop from the flowers, are popular among birds, but are not suitable for human consumption. Flowers and fruits resemble those of the elder. The leaves smell pleasantly aromatic.
Euodia daniellii should be planted in a sunny or partially shaded location with humus-rich, fresh soil. In the first years and in cold winters, winter protection is advised. Pack the above-ground shoots in fleece (note: no plastic); the soil around the root area can be covered with a thick of foliage. The plant grows approximately 6 m high; it is a wide spreading tree and is used as a solitary plant.
The plant should not be pruned, but if necessary it can be trimmed or thinned out. In order to keep the plant smaller, it is also possible to sometimes cut it back strongly. Entire shoots can be removed; even cutting into the old wood is possible. In the case that the tree has been cut too strongly, no flowers will form in the following year.
