Product information "Scotch Broom 'Andreanus Splendens'"
The numerous, golden yellow flowers are probably the most striking feature of the common broom. In May to June they can be seen from far away; they sit together with small, lanceolate leaves on the thin, green branches. Pruning after flowering prevents the plant from ageing.Cytisus scoparius ‘Andreanus splendens’ loves light, permeable soils and is ideal for adding colour to rock and heather gardens. It can also be used for container plantings. It tolerates many soils and will thrive in poor acid soils. It does not like wet conditions; plant in a sunny position.
