Product information "Dwarf Butterfly Bush 'White Chip'®"

The butterfly bush 'White Chip' comes from the Chip series. The 'White Chip' variety, as the name suggests, has white flowers that flourish from June to October. During this time, the flowers have a pleasant fragrance and they attract numerous butterflies. The ornamental shrub grows about 70c m high and 60 cm wide.
With the breeding series from the United States many unpleasant characteristics of the butterfly bush were eliminated; the sparse and excessively strong growth and the uncontrolled spreading through the seeds are particularly worth mentioning.
The varieties from the Chip series, on the other hand, are distinguished by their small and compact habit and by their non-fertile seeds. They also have a long flowering period, as the flower buds are continuously formed again.
In order to obtain beautiful growth and good flowering, the bush should be pruned in the spring, around March. It can be cut back to 15 cm.
Buddleja davidii 'White Chip' is absolutely undemanding and thrives in normal garden soil in the sun or semi-shade. It can be used for group plantings, as a low hedge or in containers.
