Product information "Common Pearlbush 'Niagara'®"

The name 'Niagara' is perfect for this plant: the numerous overhanging shoots of the 1.2 m high ornamental shrub have many, "flowing", pure white, radiant flowers, and it is a natural spectacle that is as impressive as the Niagara Falls. This novelty shows its splendor in April and May, attracting countless butterflies and bees. The shoots sprout early and are not affected at all by frost. Since the plant remains relatively low, it is well suited for small house gardens. Due to the overhanging branches, this shrub is also very beautiful when planted in containers, where it enriches every terrace. Of course, it can also be used as a solitary plant or for low hedges.
Exochorda racemosa 'Niagara' should be planted in a sunny to partially shaded location and needs normal soil. After flowering, the shoots that are too long can be removed; even a slight trim to shorten the shoots is possible in the summer, however radical pruning for rejuvenation is not recommended. The plants are absolutely hardy.
