The weak growing dwarf spindle Euonymus fortunei forms 'Minimus' grows low only to about 15 cm high; it is cushion-like, and forms very dense mats with fine shoots. If is able to climb it can grow up to 2 m high.
 
Up to 1 cm small, oval, dark green leaves with bright veins are characteristic of Euonymus fortunei 'Minimus'. In autumn, these leaves take on a bizarre, reddish colour, providing a little color in the dark winter months.
 
The carpet-forming, dwarf euonymus nestles itself on rocks or trees, and is therefore well suited for planting in rock gardens or walls. It is excellent for grave plantings, bowl, containers or troughs due to its weak habit. It is once gets out of shape, it can be cut back. The variety 'Minimus' harmonises wonderfully as an underplanting of small solitary trees or together with shrubs in an evergreen bed.

This robust dwarf shrub is undemanding. However, it prefers a semi-sunny to sunny locations and needs a well-drained soil, because it is very sensitive to waterlogging.
