Product information "Dwarf Balsam Fir"

Abies balsamea 'Nana' is a dwarf balsam fir that is noticeable due to its very short, dark green needles with white undersides. Abiesbalsamea'Nana' gets its name fromthe'balsamic' fragrance that isexudes. It has a globose shape and only reaches a height of 40-60cm, which therefore makes it very suitableforgrave plantings, rockeries, containers or eveninbedsandas a border. Older plantsarejustas wide asthey are high.
The dwarf balsam fir thrives well in a moist garden in sun or partial shade. It is very slow growing. Sensitive to heat and drought, this evergreen shrub is frost hardy and wind resistant. It requires occasional maintenance and should not require much pruning, i.e. to remove dieback. Consider applying a thick layer of mulch around the root zone in the winter in order to protect it in exposed locations.
