Product information "Common Dogwood"

The common dogwood is an extremely robust, large, deciduous shrub with an upright, bushy habit. It produces small, white flowers in flat clusters from May to June, followed by black berries, which are sometimes called “dogberries”. The ovate leaves turn a beautiful wine red colour in autumn.
Cornus sanguinea is vigorous growing, 2-3 m high and just as wide. It thrives in almost any type of soil as long as it is not too acidic. It tolerates wetness as well as dryness. The common dogwood is hardy, tolerant of wind and can be planted on slopes, as its stolons anchor into the soil. It prefers moderate warmth in sunny places, though it can tolerate shade.
