Product information "Ninebark 'Amber Jubilee'®"

Physocarpus opulifolius 'Amber Jubilee' is a vigorous deciduous shrub that is very decorative. This hardy ninebark has a compact habit, making it ideal for small gardens and borders. Orange/gold-coloured foliage emerges in the spring and it changes to green by late summer. The cream white flowers appear in clusters in the summer. They are followed by dark red fruits in the autumn months. The leaves are very colourful in autumn, offering attractive shades of red and purple. 'Amber Jubilee' is ideal for locations in full sun to partial shade. The soil should be moist and well-drained. Compost can be in corportated into the soil before planting; Physocarpus plants prefer acidic to neutral soil, but will also tolerate alkaline soil. Ninebark can be pruned hard and  can be cut back to half its size every few years in order to maintain a smaller size. 'Amber Jubilee' reaches a height from 1-3 m and a width of up to 2 m.
