Product information "Common Holly 'Little Pirate'®"
The holly 'Little Pirate'® was selected in the USA and is characterized by its dense, compact growth and the beautiful foliage. The leaves are jagged on the edge, but they are soft and not prickly. They sprout fresh green, are dark green in summer and beautifully violet in winter.Compact, little growth
Due to the slow growth 'Little Pirate'® reaches only a stature height of 100 cm even after many years. This makes this holly also interesting for small gardens. Because it is evergreen and reliably frost hardy, it is also a permanent container plant and adorns with its fresh green terraces, balconies and entrance areas. It thrives in the sun, partial shade or shadow equally.
Male variety
Ilex meserveae 'Little Pirate'® is a male variety that does not produce any fruits. The small and inconspicuous flowers appear in May. They form abundant pollen and can help female holly in the area to a lush fruit hanging.
