Product information "Common Juniper 'Excelsa'"
Juniperus communis 'Excelsa' grows erect and forms a beautiful columnar shape. Its needles shine silvery blue-green and are very close together. This juniper grows relatively slowly and has an annual growth of 10 cm. The final height of old specimens is about 3 m; the final width is approx. 1.2 m.No airs and graces
With its clear growth form, this columnar juniper is a beautiful plant for sunny locations. It is extremely frost hardy, long-lasting and healthy. When it comes to the soil type it is undemanding and grows in both alkaline and acid soil.
For containers and beds
The young juniper 'Excelsa' can be used as an uncomplicated, evergreen container plant. It also tolerates sites with high radiation intensity, as is often the case on balconies or terraces. Throughout the year in the garden the juniper columns are beautiful due to their silvery needles. The combination with silver-coloured perennials such as lavender and hornwort is very attractive.
