Product information "Goji Lubera® Instant Success"
Maturity: From the end of August, and again in about 2 - 3 weeks. The harvest can be moved backwards by cutting back Instant Success later in the season, for example, in early MayBerries: Bright orange, about 2 cm large, oblong berries
Flavour: Well, fresh, sweet berries that we often read about, I've never enjoyed; at best, fresh goji are comparable to nearly ripe tomatoes, and can be used in salads, etc. Dried Goji are sweeter and better. But can it really be good, that which is healthy???
Growth/health: Robust, healthy growth, much more compact compared to other goji origins, growth is about 30 - 50% less
Yield: High yields on this year's wood, the only variety that forms full yields on this year's wood; bears fruit from the first year after planting
The result of Luberas experiments: Instant Success®
We tested at over a dozen different Lubera goji varieties and origins – with a sobering result: All except one goji selection did not bear fruit in the first year when grown in a pot - but this ONE has what it takes!
Advantages for small gardens and pot cultivation
• Lubera® Goji Instant Success is guaranteed to bear fruit in the first year after planting: now that is instant success
• Lubera® Goji Instant Success can be pruned and it will reliably bear fruit on this year's wood
• Goji Instant Success is a very robust variety and not susceptible to any diseases
• In addition to the fruit yield and the health value of the fruits, Goji Instant Success is a beautiful and attractive ornamental shrub starting at the end of August; the bright orange fruits animate the autumn garden with an unprecedented colour

What may cause Goji not fruiting? (Wen-Pei)
I am interested to get Instant success but after reading a few comments about their Goji not fruiting, I hesitate... Are there are special growing tips? Does Goji need help with pollination? Any consideration with fertilizers? (Some Chinese growers stated the need of P and K spraying on the leaves. But I guess I prefer organic method with compost..)
Need cross polination? (Wen-Pei)
also wonder if buying two different types of Goji will help pollination?
(Reading from the description of Instant Success, I got the impression one plant should be enough. ?)
I leave in South of Sweden (around -5C in Winter). Any consideration for over winter, especially during the first year?
Thank you many much!
Winnie

Our Instant Success in the testing area fruit every year without any special fertilizer or something else.

Instant Success don't need a pollinator. Our Instant Success in the testing area fruit every year without any special fertilizer or something else. Goji are very hardy and don't need a coverage over the winter.
Goji berry plants (Vanessa)
I bought a : Goji 'Instant Success' & a 'Turgidus' in June 2017. Neither of them has fruited yet !!
I believed that the word : Instant, meant straight away, apparently not so with the 'Instant Success' Goji !
I have been told by Lubera, and read in other placec that you have to STRESS Gojis to get them to fruit.
Mine were both in 46Litre pots, plenty of room (Lubera have fruiting ones in much smaller pots) I hardly watered, did not fertilise/feed and didn't prune. If I stressed them any more, they would of died.
I wanted them to be grown in pots and the fact that that Lubera have fruiting Gojis in much smaller pots, made me believe this was possible . . . . so WHY no fruit ?!?

Goji are winterhardy and also selffertile
Gojis (again) (Vanessa Baker)
Hi. Thank you Lubera for your answer. Regarding my previous message about my two Goji bushes (one of which is an 'Instant Success') They should be both stressed - as I have not fed/fertilised them & I didn't water them much at all - they even started to drop their leaves, looked like they were going to die, so I watered them a bit. How often should I water them if they are in a large tub ?? I did nip off the growing tips, to try to get them to grow some side shoots . . . . What else do you do to yours please - bearing in mind that one in now still in a pot & the 'Instant Success' in now planted into the garden (which is chalky) ?

Gojis not flowering/fruiting. (Vanessa Baker)
Hello. Last year in June, I bought two Goji Berries - 1 x 'Instant Success' & 1 x 'Turgidus'. Now I would of thought, as per what you have written and said about the 'Instand Success', that it would/should be flowering this year - but it isn't . . neither of them are. They are both being grown in 42L tubs - but the one you show in your video is in a much smaller pot and that had berries on it - so it can't be anything to do with that . . . . . . so could it be to do with watering ?? I am following the advice of a RHS trained Botanist, who states that you should not feed them, and that treating them mean and 'stressing' them gets them to fruit. What is your advice please on ALL aspects of care ??
Gojis not flowering/fruiting (Lubera)
Stress the plant, thats normaly good to get flowers. No fertilizer, less water, no cutting etc
Shipping to the US (Steven Williams)
Please please please tell me you can ship to the US and if not can you tell me what would be the closest match to the instant success goji berry that I can get in the United States and could I just buy a bag of dehydrated Goji berries from you because it's different if you just send food over I believe
Goji Lubera Instant Success (Jorg Annaheim)
I did buy one Goji plant last year and I was very impressed by the Quality of your plants. I immediately ordered a second one which was as good. However I was very disappointed as I did not get any flowers or fruit at all especially as I watched Markus video showing the berries which he had to show on the side as he had a red Tshirt. Did I get old stock ?? I hope you can help and look forward to your reply. Kind Regards Jorg
Goji Lubera Instant Success (Sonja Dreher)
Hello,
Goji Instant Success is normally fruiting in the first year, but in some exceptions they need a growing period to get accustomed to their new environment.
If it shows no flowers again this year please get back to us, to see what we can do.
kind regards
your Lubera Team
Goji Lubera (Arjunan Santhirasenan)
I bought and planted you Goji earlier this year and the plant is growing well but the branches are not self supporting ( growing long and falling over ) Is this normal? Also will it flower and fruit this year or will if only flower and fruit from the second year of planting?
Goji berry (Sonja Dreher)
Hello ,
in the first year of plantinmg, it can happen, that the goji shrub is not flowering and fruiting, because the plants has to get acustomed to the new enviroment.
In the next year thre will be fruits on it.
Kind regards
Sonja
Goji instant sucess (Markus Kobelt)
Instant success is normally fruiting in the first year. Have you bought Instant success?
Most Goji varieties are like climbers, wiht huge long branches, Goji Instant sucess is one of the most compact varietes, but with fruit the brachnes can also bend over.
Most other varieties on the market are not fruiting for years... We will introduce in the next weeks and months new good fruiting and before all better eating varieties

Please ignore the question about the branches as I have just seen the video about the plant. Some clarification on the towering and fruiting would be helpful.

Hello,
we are sorry having to tell you, that we do not ship to Latvia.

Lubera Instant Success isn't available in the USA (Mary & Joe)
Please can you ship to the United States?
USA shipping (Your Lubera Team - Sonja Hendrischke)
Thank you for your interest in our products.
Unfortunately we cannot ship to the US yet.
There are so many restrictions and reglementations on importing living plants, and the traveling time could be too long for some species.
Maybe Mr. Kobelt, our Boss, will think about a solution, now we have so much positive feedback on our products from the USA.
Of course we will make an announcement, if we start shipping overseas.
Kind regards
Your Luibera Team
Goji Lubera (R Jeffery)

This years novelties have already been introduced.
Mr. Kobel is always working on new varieties, but we can't tell when a new Goji will be offered.
