Product information "Foxglove tree"

Paulownia tomentosa is a deciduous tree with large heart-shaped to five-lobed leaves and numerous, funnel-shaped, pink-violet flowers that are fragrant and appear in large panicles before the leaves from April to May. The flower aroma is reminiscent of vanilla; the flowers are edible and are sometimes added to salads. Also known as foxglove tree, this tree grows to a final height between 12 and 15 metres. The roots can regenerate new, very fast-growing stems and they prevent soil erosion.
Foxglove tree is tolerant of pollution and can grow in any soil type; however it prefers sandy, humus-rich loams with good drainage. It is easily grown in full sun and cannot thrive in the shade of other trees. It can also be grown in containers as a foliage plant.
