Product information "Sweet gum"

Due to its spectacular autumn colours, the sweet gum is a very impressive deciduous tree for the individual and group plantings. Whether from a distance or up close, the play of colours is both striking and beautiful.
This pyramidal growing tree reaches a height of up to 20 m. It becomes more rounded with age. The trunk and branches are equipped with thick cork layers. The maple-like leaves are glossy and 5-lobed. The soil has an impact on the type of autumn colouration, which is very long-lasting. In dry soil, the leaves are more yellow-coloured; in moist soil, the colour is rather deep orange. This tree prefers fertile soils.
