Product information "Aster novi-belgii 'Patricia Ballard'"

With its bright pink, semi-double flowers, this New York aster is a valuable plant for autumn beds because it blooms late in the garden year and brings colour to flower beds once again. At a height of about 100 cm, the flowers appear in dense clusters on dark green, upright, lance-shaped leaves from September to the end of October. Because this plant is very stable it does not require support. It prefers warm, sunny and not too dry location in loamy, humus-rich, rather permeable soil. The site should also not be too protected because New York asters can then be very susceptible to mildew. An airy location is better because it dries quickly when wet. This aster is particularly suitable for larger perennial beds, mixed borders, cottage gardens and close to nature landscaped plantings due to its autumn-coloured foliage. In addition, it is particularly beautiful in autumn bouquets and makes them shine.
