Product information "Anemone x japonica 'Honorine Jobert'"

This Japanese autumn anemone is one of the oldest autumn anemone varieties places that is known. It has a dense, clump-like habit and propagates itself via short runners. Its leaves are pale green and shaped like a crow’s foot. Starting in August, the delicate, large, pure white, semi-double, bowl-shaped flowers appear on loose panicles that grow up to 100 cm high. The fine filaments act like a delicate, golden crown in the flower centre. Anemone x japonica 'Honorine Jobert' develops best in a partially shaded location with fresh, nutrient-rich soil that is rich in humus; it does not tolerate waterlogging. This beautiful, early autumn perennial is particularly suitable for loosely planted flower beds, perennial borders, woodland edge plantings and for areas with a wild perennial character in individual and group plantings. It should not be planted too late because it will then not be able to survive the winter. Slight coverage with brushwood and leaves is recommended as a winter protection.
