Product information "Astilbe x glaberrima-Hybr. 'Sprite'"
This very low-growing astilbe is a real eye-catcher for the foreground of shaded beds. Smooth rock astilbe develops bronze-colored, glossy foliage above the loose, salmon pink flower spikes that appear from July to August. This plant only grows about 30 cm high. It has clump-forming growth and it spreads very little via rhizomes. It prefers a partially shaded to shaded location with fresh to moist, nutrient-rich soil. This pretty perennial can be used in shady perennial beds, near streams and in flower beds that are near a pond or at the edge of shrubs. Together with other shade-loving plants like Tiarella, Bergenia and Epimedium it can be very appealing.Flower colour: Pink
